In the Old Catholic Apostolic Church of the Americas, we celebrate the 7 Sacraments of the Church. They are Baptism, Eucharist, Penance (Reconciliation), Confirmation, Matrimony, Anointing, Holy Orders. We are truly a Catholic Church, although not in union with Rome.

This sacrament is not taken advantage of as we should. It may be because we don’t fully understand that our Blessed Lord left the Apostles the roll of forgiveness of sins. This is probably the most difficult, yet, rewarding occasion in the life of a Priest. To help people make their peace with God and so heal the union between the Father and His children.

We have prayed over what we can do to help God’s people take advantage of this most beautiful sacrament. So, after much prayer, reflection, consultation with others, I believe that we must make use of the technology available to us and institute a new, more modern way to assist God’s people to make their peace and offer their sorrow for their own sinfulness.

It is with a hopeful heart that we were able to create a new website: www.oldcatholicconfessions.net. It is a simple way to go to confession and experience reconciling with the Lord. This site is completely anonymous and seriously protected so that every penitent may feel comfortable, secure and at peace while making their confession.

When you enter the Confessional on this site you register (this registration is only for one time, until you receive your penance and make an act of contrition. At that time, all record of this confession will be permanently removed from the site. In-order-to make a confession again, you will have to register. Please take some time and go to www.oldcatholicconfessions.org and look over the site, and if you are so moved, make your confession and feel the love and joy of the Lord’s forgiveness.
